Full disclosure: My sister works here, so I could be considered bias. However, I've been going to Mud Creek since well before that started, as this seems to be my family's saloon of choice. So whenever I go up to the North Woods to visit mom there's a fair chance I'll end up having a couple drinks at Mud Creek. Mud Creek used to be the home of Happy the Otter, may he rest in peace. Now that was a cool feature... a real live otter at the bar! Unfortunately he's now up in heaven (all otters go to heaven), but Mud Creek lives on. If this bar was in Chicago it'd be a dive bar. But it's not in Chicago, it's in Eagle River and here it's just a bar. It's a fairly small, laid back bar. There's a dart board, and a pool table. The drinks are pretty cheap, the owners are very nice. They have some food and a jukebox and a couple TVs. Basically, everything you need for a good night (or afternoon) out. So go ahead and belly up to the bar, have a drink or two and relax. But please don't drink and drive.
